Purpose of the job:

• You will be responsible for providing research and advice to the Partners including Recommendation and Strategy reports.
• We successfully deliver high level, complex reports written specifically with our clients in mind. This is achieved through a consistent high level of service and expertise both as individuals and as a team.
• The team consists of 13 Paraplanners, including 6 seniors, a junior, and 2 trainees.

Job summary:

A qualified and highly experienced paraplanner, working as a senior member of a team, to deliver a first-class research and report writing service to Private Wealth Partners. The successful candidate will work in a team of 4 in support of 6 Partners, and will report directly to the Practice Manager A key part of the role will be to support the Practice Manager with the ongoing development of the practice and with the training and development of the team.

Main responsibilities:

• Writing recommendation and strategy reports in line with FD’s restricted proposition (where appropriate).
• Working on the complex and technical cases across the team
• Undertaking advanced cash flow modelling.
• Other research tasks and project work where required.
• Provide regular updates to the Partners on the progress of their cases so that they feel in control and can manage client expectations.
• Work closely with other Paraplanners and Paraplanning Team Leader to share ideas and best practice, including assisting Team leader with all aspects of a good customer experience and identify any process improvements that can be made.
• Dealing with compliance on cases which require pre-approval.
• To undertake any other duties commensurate with skills and experience.
• To participate in appropriate company and departmental training, competence and development initiatives.
• Undertake more advanced tasks within the paraplanning team.
• Be committed to contribute to additional workload when necessary covering all areas of the Paraplanning role.
